Brand photography with Musician Fiona Hare

Fi is a talented folk singer based in Cape Town with a voice and presence that are truly unique; she is a wild gypsy and passionate musician with a soft heart. A lovely person inside and out.

When she began working on her album “Keep Me Wild,” she asked me to create portraits and editorial shots for her album cover and brand visuals to use across her social platforms.

Before the shoot, I put together a Pinterest mood board to map out ideas and ensure we were on the same page and we discussed idea’s together. It helped us approach the session with clarity, to make most out of our time together during the shoot.

As our location, we chose an abandoned building site at Oranjezicht Farm for the shoot—a location that added depth and texture with its raw, industrial backdrop. Fi brought along a selection of outfits and props. With a little speaker on hand, coffees and loads of lovely chats we worked through each concept.

The result was a set of images that felt authentic to Fi’s style and the essence of her music. She’s an artist with a natural, bohemian presence with a genuine passion for what she does.

I loved working with fellow creatives, it is so rewarding to collaborate with people who bring their creativity to life in such meaningful ways.

Isn t music everything? I couldn t imagine a world without it.
