Brand and editorial photography at Swan cafe in Cape Town

It was a pleasure photographing Jessica Rushmere, the founder of Swan Café—a crêperie in Cape Town that feels like a slice of Paris. Known for its stylish French vibes, it serves up the most delicious pancakes and coffee. From the moment you walk in, you might as well be transported straight from a Paris sidewalk. The menu is full of authentic french treats, served up to you by waiters dressed in stripy Breton shirts, who speak to you with a french twang, it is a lovely experience all round.

This editorial portrait shoot was part of a project for Agents for You, a lifestyle boutique agency in Cape Town who showcase their clients in regular editorials, highlighting the inspiring community they work in. The focus was to capture portraits of Jessica as the visionary behind Swan Café reflecting her personality and the passion she as for her business..

The café itself provided such a stunning backdrop, designed by Jessica herself. The interiors vibrant ambiance really complimented Jessica’s style and sophistication.

It was such a breeze to work with Jessica’s as, with a back ground in modelling, she was super confident in front of the lens. Loved what we created.
