Behind the Brand photography with Mend Assembly
End of last year, I did a brand photography shoot at Mend Assembly in Totnes. Lovely Cath Heraty, one of the co founders mentioned she was looking for fresh images for their website and socials and we decided to do a collaboration. I spend the afternoon shooting Portraits of the CO founders Cath Heraty and Padouk Fielding, and took further detail pics to visually give their audience an idea of what they are about. It was super inspiring to learn more about what Mend Assembly stands for and what it offers to people not only in South Devon, but globally.
Mend Assembly support and promote local clothing production and have a sustainable approach towards the clothing industry. They offer old fashioned mending services and show a different approach to our current globalised commercial way of consuming.
They believe that when clothing becomes aligned with local practice so many of the problematic elements of the global commercial model fall away such as over consumption and exploitative practises. From reduced carbon and transport to deeper connection, respect and care for the clothes that we own and wear.
Big respect to this incredible initiative!
