Brand Photography with Artist Kristina Bieganski

Meet Kristina, a Devon based multimedia artist.

It was a lovely experience to do a personal branding photography shoot with such a creative and interesting lady. Kristina has been an artist for decades and exhibits her work throughout the UK. She needed some Branding Portraits to market an upcoming exhibition at Bread and Roses in Plymouth and it was such a pleasure working with her to create these. We decided to do the shoot at her house, which is located on the beautiful riverbank in Totnes.

Stepping into the home of Kristina was a feast for the eye.  Her home is pretty much a museum filled with her artworks. Her lounge has loads of her one off pieces on display, which range from big paintings to sculptures to mixed media creations.

Kristina finds her inspiration in belief systems which can be political , religious, scientific or made up. She combines found objects, scraps of life, memorabilia and juxtaposes these with unrelated objects, photos, graphics, and collectables, giving it new entities.

I suggested to portray Kristina using her artworks as backdrops. I wanted to capture her as part of her work, using the various textures, colours of the art pieces as inspiration as she is so much part of what she produces.

We picked a few pieces of art and styled it with various outfits and fabrics, and as the sun came out, we shot a few more images outside her home. Great morning spent!
